Welcome to our club webpage! The Penn State Viola Society (PSUVS) is an official Penn State student organization. The club assists with many studio events, such as inviting guest artists to come and perform recitals and give master classes, scheduling outreach events, planning concert trips, and organizing social events for violists.
In past semesters, we've organized several viola studio outreach events in the central Pennsylvania area. These include a concert for orchestra students at Altoona Junior High School and a children's "Pajama Concert" at Schlow Library in downtown State College (take a look at the photos in the slideshow above). We have taken road-trips to see nearby viola performances, and traveled together to several International Viola Congresses. We also provide receptions for guest masterclasses and recitals (see Events and Gallery pages for details and photos). We also typically have a holiday party and gift exchange at the end of the fall semester (see freshly baked cookies above!) and have barbecues or enjoy the warm weather by hiking Mt.
